Police appeal for information in deadly collision

A London man died and another person was taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash in South-West Oxford Township, Ontario Provincial Police say.
Authorities said the collision occurred Thursday evening between two vehicles near the intersection of Pigram and Salford roads in the township in Oxford County, with the OPP and firefighters and paramedics from Oxford responding to the crash about 6:45 p.m.
Police said the 48-year-old London man was taken to hospital, where he later died of his injuries from the collision.
A second person, who had minor injuries, was also taken to hospital for treatment, police said.
The intersection, and the area at Cromarty Drive and Pigram Road, were closed as police investigated the collision but were reopened early Friday.
